Suggest a Calculator
Missing a tool on Project Home Calc? Tell us what you were trying to estimate. We build calculators when the formula is clear, the inputs are measurable with a tape, and the result helps a homeowner or small planner order materials without guessing.
What to send
- The material or job (e.g. "asphalt driveway tonnage", "fence post concrete", "render coverage")
- The inputs you would want to enter (length, depth, price, bag size, and so on)
- Whether you need US units, UK units, or both
- A link to a similar calculator on another site, if one exists — optional, for scope only
Use the contact form or email shoaib.octachat@gmail.com with Calculator request in the subject.
What we build first
We prioritise tools that:
1. Fit the home-improvement / small-project scope 2. Use a clear formula we can show on the page 3. Do not duplicate an existing tool without a good reason 4. Can ship with a worked example and FAQ so the page is useful without ads
We do not add tools that require live regional pricing APIs, structural engineering sign-off, licensed trade calculations, or scraped third-party content.
What already exists
Browse all calculators before requesting a duplicate. Construction, landscaping, flooring, painting, roofing, deck and fence, insulation/drywall, and cost tools are live. Guides cover patio cost, waste factors, roofing squares, fence posts, brick counts, and more — check Guides if your question is “how” rather than “how many.”
Recently added
Sand, concrete bags, tile, brick, paint cost, gravel cost, concrete cost, insulation, fence, and paver calculators joined the library in 2026. Editorial guides continue to expand alongside the tools so each calculator page has context, not only a widget.
How we decide
If several people ask for the same takeoff and we can state the method in plain language, it goes on the queue. Niche one-off engineering problems stay offline — those need a professional, not a browser form.
